A road trip to Italy is interrupted by a series of natural disasters recalling the interference of the Gods in Ovid’s Metamorphoses. These reach a crescendo threatening total destruction.
But the transformations in Ovid’s Metamorphoses leads to the thought that although something feels as if it is ending, something new might just be beginning.
The book was launched at Tate Britain on Friday, 26 September 2025 with a live reading accompanied by the film – see below.

The book is a sculptural leporello of pop-ups on two sides, allowing the viewer to walk around the work,
giving a 3 dimensional aspect. It is conceived as a sketchbook, with all the freshness and surprises that implies, however with a durable tactile feel, making opening and exploring the work feel playful.
