This time from inside my old loft on 6th and 27th st. I went passed it on my visit last October and the building is unchanged. Neither is the McDonald’s next door! I can still remember the sickly plastic smell of the milk shakes.

Going back to New York with my daughter last year was like being a tourist in my home town. Feeling the energy and madness everywhere, and all of it fresh and new.
There is something about the light in New York City which makes the skyline tactile and tangible, as if it could be held in your hand.
I enjoyed it and when the hysteria got to be too much we ducking down to friends in Lambertville, New Jersey.

I can never forget growing up and starting my art career in NY, but it still felt unexpected.

It was great to rediscover my old stomping grounds.
New impressions merged with memories of living there.

When I returned to the studio I made some new paintings.

I’ve had to stay in London this summer, working on a @dulwichgallery commission.
Thankfully, @slash.arts invited me and @jennykleinthread on an artist’s residency on the River Stour. Not really very far from London, but it felt like a different world, and a much appreciated chance to get away.
Per la prima volta in 16 anni non sono andato in Salento per l’estate.
Mi mancava tanto, pero era necessario stare a Londra finire la scultura pubblica commissionato da Dulwich Picture Gallery.
L’unica chance scappare via e stato la residenza artistica sul fiume Stour.

Was advertised as a "thoroughly enjoyable party game for all the family"
Players moved their pieces around the board to round up Jews for deportation to Palestine.
Part of the Holocaust galleries at the @imperialwarmuseums in London.
A very moving and surprising exhibit which is essential.
