In many of my public artworks, I have used the tree to bring nature into the city environment. At Woodmansterne School the children did drawings of the school values. That large leaf in the final sculpture represents ‘Responsibility’. Perhaps responsibility for the environment?

Children at Horniman School did drawings of the school gardens. These were incorporated into the new gates.

Two large trees at the entrance to Kender School, Lewisham. Keith Barr, Headteacher has said ‘I think we probably have the most beautiful school in Lewisham. The trees either side of the main entrance are just fabulous! Still a joy to come to work.’
